Make a Bad Decision Today

This is really an odd title isn't it? I chose the title to prove a point that making a bad decision today is better than making no decision at all. So many people, myself included, waste a lot of time on indecision. Fear of making the wrong choice, not knowing if the choice is going to turn out like planned, and sometimes even fear of making the right decision can hold us back. Making a bad decision in an effort to achieve a goal is still a step forward in the long run and can do a lot of good. Let me explain.

Do you know you hate your job, but you are to fearful to make a decision to change careers? Does the fear of failure hold you back? Do you flat out not know which decision is best? I can tell you this with confidence; it does not matter just make a freaking decision. Once you make a decision you will find out very quick if it was good or bad. Then you will be able to make the necessary change to move forward. If you want to go into business for yourself, then go into business for yourself. I have been told that the best way to succeed in business is to be in business. You might start out selling A then decide to move on to B and then C, but finally once you make it to P you find out what works best for you and you hit a new level of success you never knew was possible and all of this because you were willing to make a bad decision to move you in the right direction. You have to be willing to take risk and fail miserably. Look at every successful person and even ask them personally to share 10 super bad decisions that they have made along there journey and they will also tell you why each one of them was very important for their success. If they would have stayed put with what they were doing then they would still be where they were in the past. Bad decisions tend to spring board us into success with the lessons learned and pain felt. The truth is that all of this is for your good and your experience. The time will never be perfect and things will never be perfectly aligned. Opportunity comes and then it goes and if we want to be part of it we must make a decision to get on that train and ride it out for what it is worth. Screw the idea of waiting for the perfect opportunity and just take the risk and make the best decision with what you know and everything will turn out in you favor in the long run.

I am not saying to not do your homework before you make a change or to make a decision you clearly know is poor, but don't let uncertainty hold you back from achieving your goals. I was on a 6 month or less change cycle in jobs and opportunities and the birth, life, and death of each one has been extremely important to me in helping me to be who I am today and giving me the experience I need to succeed.

The Success Frequency Theory

Have you ever wondered why you are not as successful as you would like when you're trying so hard to become such? Do you ever feel like you are spinning your wheels to move forward and you seem to be sliding down hill in reverse? I know I have felt this way many times in my life and I know there are probably more to come , but here is a good way to understand why and some suggestions to help you move forward.

When I was in high school choir, my instructor had the class do an exercise where we all sang a chord next to the piano. She would then cut us off suddenly and we would all listen to the piano as it would continue to ring the chord that we sang.  I thought it was incredible that even though no one touched the piano, we could make it play a chord with our voices. This only works if we sing in tune with the piano. The vibrations from our voices, or the sound waves, hit the strings and since they are of the same frequency, it has the ability to vibrate those strings and cause them to ring.

There is a good lesson to be learned in this for our lives. Thoughts and emotions are nothing but energy. Energy has wave lengths just like music. There is a reason that you have friends that have same interests, similar beliefs, and opinions. That is because the energy that you put off resonates with your friends who are of a similar energy. Like the piano, when we think in tune with another person we can almost finish each others sentences. You can almost feel how everyone else is feeling in a room of people who share the same beliefs and opinions. Have you ever been in a room where the majority of the people were on a higher level of thinking or understanding than yourself? I know I have. This is what typically happens. You either feel extremely uncomfortable and want to leave, or the accumulative thoughts of those around you help elevate you to the same level of thinking and you leave feeling uplifted and motivated. That is because the energy in the room is causing everyone to harmonize. This can also happen in reverse when you are on a more positive thinking plane and everyone else in the room is on a negative. I suggest instead of harmonizing you choose just to feel extremely uncomfortable.

Success, just like thoughts and emotions, has its own frequency. If you are not experiencing the level of success you would like to have in life, it is usually because of a few simple things you are not in tune with. In order to have success, you need to be putting out thoughts and emotions that are on the same frequency of your desired success. I repeat, if you are not experiencing success, you need to change your thoughts and your emotions. I know I have asked myself many times in frustration, how the freak can I do that?

Here are a few tips.

Create a vision board of your desired outcomes. Then stare at that board at least once a day and analyze your emotions when you are thinking of those things. Are you hurting inside because you don't have them? If you are, your emotions are only creating more of that hurt because your emotions are in tune with the pain of not having instead of the faith and hope to obtain.

Do the same thing with affirmations. Say them out loud and analyze how you feel.

Forget what you don't have and start being grateful for what you do have. Be especially grateful for your ability to use your own mind and create what you want.

Ask yourself empowering questions. An i.e., what do I need to do today to accomplish (desired outcome) in record time? This will get your subconscious mind working on a concrete plan for you to accomplish it.
Empowering questions always call to action and always require definite answers.

Switch things up. It is hard to receive new insight if we always do the same things. Don't be afraid to try new things and go new places. This will get you out of your "hypnotic rhythm" as Napoleon Hill explains in his book Out witting the Devil.

Just like it took us a little bit of time for our voices to get the strings to vibrate, even if  your thoughts and emotions are in tune with success, it still takes time for the frequency to resonate with the strings and cause them to vibrate. To quote Winston Churchill, "Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever give up." As long as you keep trying and keep learning from your successes and your failures you will continue to increase your energy levels to harmonize with greater levels of success.
